Connecticut Academy for Education in Mathematics, Science, & Technology, Inc. (CT Academy) -- The CT Academy's mission is to join with educators and others to attain continuous improvement in mathematics and science achievement for ALL students - with specific emphasis on eliminating achievement gaps. The CT Academy delivers data-driven professional development services and measurement tools to educators and serves as a statewide advocate, broker, and catalyst for academic excellence for all students.

  • Connecticut Academy Science Assessment Program (CASAP) - Schools use CASAP to analyze K-8 science programs and to plan improvements.
  • Building a Presence for Science (CT-BaP) - CT-BaP is a network of science educators in all public and private schools, colleges, and informal science and nature centers.
  • Partnership to Improve Science Education (PISE) - The Partnership brings together Connecticut 's large and small companies, State Department of Education, and others to support districts in the use of proven practices to increase science achievement and to advocate for a world-class science education system.
  • Connecticut Center for Science Inquiry - The CT Inquiry Center provides sustained, intense professional development activities to facilitate the understanding and use of the inquiry approach to teaching and learning.

Connecticut BioHistory -- Learn about significant milestones in the historical development of Connecticut's biotechnology & medical technology industry.

Connecticut Parent Teachers Association (PTA) -- The Connecticut State PTA aims to empower and support members with skills in advocacy, leadership, and communication to positively impact the lives of all children.

Connecticut Science Olympiad -- The Science Olympiad is an international nonprofit organization devoted to improving the quality of science education, increasing student interest in science and providing recognition for outstanding achievement in science education by both students and teachers. These goals are accomplished through classroom activities, research, training workshops and the encouragement of intramural, district, regional, state and national tournaments.

Connecticut Science Supervisors Association (CSSA) -- CSSA holds professional development workshops and seminars directed at leadership and supervision in science education, and works with CSTA to co-sponsor an annual science educators conference.

Connecticut Science Teachers Association (CSTA) -- The CSTA provides support and information for Connecticut's science teachers. This web site features information on science education news, professional development, and grants.

Education, Connecticut State Department of -- Access information ranging from statistics and reports to curriculum and standards.

Greater Hartford Academy of Math & Science -- The mission of the academy is to provide students with significant talent and interest in mathematics, science, and technology an opportunity to be challenged to their maximum potential through outreach programs, professional developmment for teachers, and an interdistrict math & science magnet school.

Kids Are Scientists Too (KAST) -- KAST is a summer science camp at the University of Connecticut for students entering the 5th through the 10th grade.

Science Center of Connecticut -- The Science Center of Connecticut offers many opportunities for learning about science, including exhibits, classes, a planetarium, the Roaring Brook Nature Center, and the Science Center Preschool.
